One Small Step for Digital Signage

Technology continues to grow at a rapid pace. The evolution of the mobile phone is a great example. The first phones were the size of a brick. Bulky, but an attractive status symbol. Each year it grew smaller, then smarter, and now the technology is ubiquitous. Size now seems less relevant when choosing a mobile phone. Instead, features, functions and brand are strong factors. Digital signage media players are evolving in a similar fashion. In the early days, they were big and bulky. Each year brings new advances to make them smaller, faster and more efficient. The latest example is the evolution of the “media stick” segment. But is there a tradeoff choosing such a small solution?
